You'd think that they'd either sell them for scrap or sink them off the coast and create artificial reefs.

be sure to check out all 3 tank graveyard posts, the plane graveyard and the train graveyard posts

The Soviets drained huge amounts of the water for growing cotton, and as they did, the water got saltier, and saltier until useless. Not to mention the shore receded kilometres in places.

They really did fuck it up.
