Sawmill´s Power Plant From Finland

This was built at 1920's and is in original condition, no renovations done almost at all. Near by sawmill took over 90% of energy that was produced in this little power plant. At 1980's this place was shut down and has been severely vandalized since then.

Re: Sawmill´s Power Plant From Finland

Excellent post.
What do the labels on the instrument panel say? Google was not helpful.

Really sad that someone damaged the old machinery
Some labels are (partially) removed...
I would really love to visit it.
@TS: do you have more pictures

(pressure units: 1 bar = 1kg/cm² = 100 KPascal)

My interpretations and the units are in ( )
left column:
Water Temp (°C)
(probably steam) pressure (bar)
pressure after valve (bar)
steam temperatur (°C)

2nd column:
(?) oil pressure (mil. pascal)
setpoint oil pressure (mil. pascal)
(oil?) temperature (°C)

3rd column:
Water temperature after heat exchanger (°C)
(?) temperature (°C)
(probably water) pressure (bar)

4th column:
(?) temperature (°C)
cylinder pressure (MPascal)
level (meter)

5th colum:
?
?
?
?

Rusty plate (below, center):
Water pressure setpoint switch

...mar5.jpg: before the workbench are 2 high pressure steam valves, the right one is driven by an electric motor.

...mar20.jpg: this is the furnace, with heavy iron doors (below left) and thermal isolation on the boilers and pipes.

...mar49.jpg: above the furnace, you can see 2 boilers below.

So the plant burned oil?
...mar44.jpg is probably the fuel tank.

...mar22.jpg shows the generator, probably a 3phase synchronous generator, seperately exited.
What sticks out of the center is the commutator.
What lies on the floor in front of it (and is obviously missing in the center) are the brushes.

Really interesting is the word cylinder on the control panel... We have no pic of the other side of the generator, but i guess it's a steam turbine, not a cylinder-driven steam engine (which would require a giant fly wheel)
So cylinder means probably boiler.

(Sry for my bad english...)
