Workers Find a Hidden Underground Safe Belonging to Pablo Escobar.

Could this safe contain riches hidden by Pablo Escobar? Mystery surrounds the discovery of a deposit box found within the walls of the drug lord's former home.

Mystery surrounds the discovery of a second safe found hidden within the walls of drug lord Pablo Escobar's former home in Miami Beach.
Amid hopes it could be filled with hidden loot stashed by Escobar during his reign as the world's most powerful crime boss, property owners moved quickly to hide it off-site.
It comes just days after a first safe discovered during the building's demolition was stolen when thieves hoping to claim leftover riches from Escobar's $20billion drug empire broke onto the site.

The white metal safe (pictured) is the second safety deposit box to be found stashed inside the walls of the $10million home, which was once owned by Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar

Christian de Berdouare, the property owner, told the Miami Herald: 'This is real. It’s still locked. It’s very, very heavy. We can’t believe it - now Pablito is my best friend.'
During the decades he spent at the head of Colombia's Medellin cartel, Escobar earned so much money that he struggled to find places to keep it.

Much of it was packaged and hidden inside the walls of his many residences, while more was spent on lavish boats, houses and parties.
Mr de Berdouare, who has previously stated he wanted to search the site for loot, said he believed the heavy metal safe contained gold or diamonds.
Miguel Mato was operating the excavator when they discovered the second safe yesterday.
He said: 'As I pulled down the wall, the wall actually fell and broke through the floor,' NBC Miami reported.
'There was like a chamber, and the safe was in there. It feels good, you know. We actually did this job hoping we would find something.'
One week ago it emerged the first safe found on the building site had disappeared and police had launched a theft investigation

The guy that owns the house thinks he's a lucky guy, he seems to forget who owned the contents of that safe. There could be documents and pics in their that could damage some very dangerous people, Escobar's relatives are still breathing too. I would be wary as fuck if I were the new owner.

True dat.

Someone will lay a claim to it, and that person won't be very nice.

I am not talking about Medellin I'm talking about him.

This scenario seems vaguely familiar.

escobar WAS medellin....

there were competitors but most of them were killed off

though i'm inclined to think that it would've been wiser to keep quiet about this find.... now it's in the news it's fair game for any criminal elements who feel they might want to get their hands on this safe...
