So the left has no motivation to secure said borders, and thus far have been conducting themselves accordingly. It doesn't matter to them if the strain on our economy eventually breaks us and drags the entire nation down as a whole as long as it assures that they will remain in power indefinitely. My problem with that is not only that it is deleterious to all of us as American citizens, but that it's also patently illegal and borderline treasonous.
All the problems and results from amnesty they will welcome. As you said with our leaders allowing attacks to happen to implement policy changes. This will also be used to implement policy changes progressive liberals want. Like socialism. Like income redistribution.

Pursue and prosecute employers and businesses who knowingly employ illegal and/or undocumented labor. Make them pay their worker's the minimum wage at least, and make them pay every single cent of the taxes on those workers -- from payroll all the way to personal income both state and federal. This will eliminate their motivation to hire illegal workers over American citizens.

Then develop a fast-track form of naturalization for those who want to abide by the rules. Give them citizenship tests in their native language if need be, then stick 'em with a Social Security Number that ensures proper workplace protections and rights and guarantees that they will have to pay taxes on every dollar that they earn.

The only reason you'll never see any of that happen in America as she is currently governed is that the large corporate interests that support the neo-Republicans want cheap and unprotected labor, and people who work their asses off and pay their taxes are more likely to vote Republican -- and quite possibly Libertarian in the future -- instead of Democrat.
I agree with your solution. Immigration reform needs to start with closing the door first and foremost. That way the focus can turn to who's here, and how to deal with them. The only thing I would add is we should not just allow everyone here to become legal. Criminals and other undesirable scum should be sent to from which they came.

On Friday,*Luis Enrique Monroy-Bracamonte--an illegal alien criminal--allegedly shot and killed two sheriff's deputies in the Northern California counties of Sacramento and Placer. He also allegedly shot*another man in the head for resisting a car-jacking

Re: What's Obama Cooking? I Think It's Obvious💃

(New York Post) -*A former CBS News reporter who quit the network over claims it kills stories that put President Obama in a bad light says she was spied on by a “government-related entity” that planted classified documents on her computer.

In her new memoir, Sharyl Attkisson says a source who arranged to have her laptop checked for spyware in 2013 was “shocked” and “flabbergasted” at what the analysis revealed.

“This is outrageous. Worse than anything Nixon ever did. I wouldn’t have believed something like this could happen in the United States of America,” Attkisson quotes the source saying.

She speculates that the motive was to lay the groundwork for possible charges against her or her sources.

Attkisson says the source, who’s “connected to government three-letter agencies,” told her the computer was hacked into by “a sophisticated entity that used commercial, nonattributable spyware that’s proprietary to a government agency: either the CIA, FBI, the Defense Intelligence Agency or the National Security Agency.”

The breach was accomplished through an “otherwise innocuous e-mail” that Attkisson says she got in February 2012, then twice “redone” and “refreshed” through a satellite hookup and a Wi-Fi connection at a Ritz-Carlton hotel.

The spyware included programs that Attkisson says monitored her every keystroke and gave the snoops access to all her e-mails and the passwords to her financial accounts.

“The intruders discovered my Skype account handle, stole the password, activated the audio, and made heavy use of it, presumably as a listening tool,” she wrote in “Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama’s Washington.”

Attkisson says her source — identified only as “Number One” — told her the spying was most likely not court-authorized because it went on far longer than most legal taps.

But the most shocking finding, she says, was the discovery of three classified documents that Number One told her were “buried deep in your operating system. In a place that, unless you’re a some kind of computer whiz specialist, you wouldn’t even know exists.”

“They probably planted them to be able to accuse you of having classified documents if they ever needed to do that at some point,” Number One added.

In her book, Attkisson says CBS lost interest in her coverage of the deadly attack on the US Embassy in Benghazi, Libya, and killed her stories of the federal “Fast and Furious” gun-running scandal.

Both CBS and the White House declined to comment.

Think of it in terms of a more realistic, less ideological interpretation of Obama's points in his "You Didn't Build That" speech.

You start straining a system with people who are using all of those things but not contributing to it, and eventually it will bend and break. It's simple ground-level business economics in that no enterprise can last if it's constantly spending more than it's taking in. Taxpayer-funded civilization is indeed an enterprise in that respect.
In no way do I believe Obama had any legitimate point when he stated "you didn't build that" Before government did shit for Americans this country was built by its private citizens, by risk takers. It may have been done in a way many disagree with. But it was done the way it had to be done to succeed. America didn't become the richest most powerful country because of our government.

I would love to tell Obama. Look at your house, look at the Capitol, the memorials, these skylines. Government didn't build that.

No, government didn't. Government itself doesn't really build fuck-all when you get right down to it. But in many cases, taxpayer dollars contributed to the process. It's all interconnected.

The problem with the "You Didn't Build That" speech is that it was just as arrogant as the notions and beliefs that it was attempting to address. Far too often the wealthy and powerful conduct themselves as if they owe this country not one debt of gratitude for the opportunities it has afforded them or the centuries' worth of groundwork upon which they were able to build their success; things which are not possible within a number of other political and economic climates. When GE, for example, posts record profits and then exploits the current tax codes to the point where it's paying back into the system at a lower percentage than a single-earner four-children middle-class household -- that to me is proof-positive of their directors' and shareholders' complete and utter disregard for the country as a whole. It may be legal, but its not right; and no one is forcing them to exploit our nation to such a degree.

A less spiteful, more disciplined leader could have made a similar point without sounding like a Socialist or Communist ideologue while at the same time giving credit to both the success of the hard-working as well as the American systems and institutions which afforded them the opportunities upon which they had capitalized. But I dare say that even that argument -- had it been made by someone else other than our "Dear Leader" -- would have nonetheless been lost upon the reactionary and those whose wealth is inherited.

A sense of entitlement, it would seem, is common in modern-day America; even among the rich.

The idea that it's all a democratic conspiracy to increase voter base is a completely ludicrous concept. In 2010 only 2.2% of non-citizens voted, leaving the number of voters that were non-citizens at less than .1%..

What does 2010 have to do with anything? If they implement amnesty that would allow at least ten million people to vote. Your percentages mean nothing. Because illegal aliens can't vote. And if they are allowed to vote, even a 20% turnout will effect elections. Why with all that's going on in our country and the world is our president so concerned with getting these people voting rights? It's not a conspiracy, it's what the Democrat party is doing.

Ask yourself this Poo. Would Obama even be considering amnesty if Republicans held the minority vote? Fuck no he wouldn't, the border would be on lock down right now if that was the case.
