Re: Satanic Starbucks

Guns don't kill people, people do...So given that simplistic logic, religion doesn't kill people, people do

Anyway, old shit....As for the coffee, not funny, not part of the job...Sack 'em.

i have said this ad nauseam.... im not attacking anybody directly, only the beliefs. how did me criticizing this article turn into me attacking you? were you the person in the article?

you can think i go overboard if you'd like... i have expressed my reasons numerous times for doing so and i will again. i live in a society where religious nonsense is overwhelming. i also raise children in this society. i cannot morally stand by and do nothing to fix the society my children have to live in. breaking social taboos and attacking a religion (not the religious or believers of the religion) that is based on the idea that human sacrifice was needed is a must if i wish to one day live in a moral society. like i mentioned, why is it not offensive to have a statue of a human sacrifice in a public place? if i did that, then asked why you didnt 'respect my faith', how horrible of a person would you think i was? if the man being sacrificed were jesus, why does that make it moral?

if you dont wish to talk about religion, than dont. but i find it immoral and i find tolerance of it to be morally reprehensible. people are free to believe what they want and i would be fine with ignoring those beliefs.... once they stop affecting my day to day life, i will stop. sounds fair to me.

how could religion (a belief system) kill people on it's own? it's the promotion of ignorance and belief in a life after death with no proof that grants people the opportunity to kill people in the name of the religion...that and the commandments by a god for which there is not proof of that tells people to kill. guns dont tell people to kill nearly as often as the God of Abraham does.

i think a written warning would be enough. if it were a pattern of behavior that was continuous, i would fire them.

Kanda? Some of what you write makes no sense to me. So, with that said, I am not commenting again on your posts.

I like you. I respect you. I just freaking don't agree with you.

fair enough. this isnt the place anyway. i was just commenting on the story, not trying to start a debate. i will be making a thread about creationism in the science area soon (when i have more time) if you'd like to continue the conversation. i respect and like you too. you dont have to agree with me and i respect that you dont.

for fucks sake, what the fuck is wrong with people? i'd rather have some d-bag write a harmless 666 in my coffee than have to explain to my 4 year old daughter why it's ok for there to be a statue of a human sacrifice off the side of the freeway. "it a human sacrifice, sweetie. the man being sacrificed is Jesus and people think he was tortured for you because god made you unclean."

yes, good thing people have their priorities straight.

human sacrifice = ok and suitable for children

'666' written in caramel on a coffee = not ok for anybody and a news worthy event

disgusting. nice to see the person involved wasnt that offended by it. customer service should be treated with the respect religion gets.
Yeah I feel ya man. Personally I would of thought it was awesome
