Re: Plot To Kill Granddad To Get Inheritance Early

rotten bastards. I wonder what hurt him more, the injuries wrought with hands or without.

And really? You need the internet to tell you how to kill an old person? Succinylcholine if you can get a hold of some. Staged drowning by forced submersion---There are millions of ways to think of without the internet. If you're that stupid, then at least try not to be lazy and use someone else's PC.

That said, I hope they get what's coming to them and I know they will.

Family Googles 'How to Kill Old People' Before Trying To Kill Grandpa

A schoolgirl was locked up yesterday for her part in a family plot to kill her grandfather and steal her inheritance early.
The 16-year-old had scoured the internet with her 49-year old mother, 19-year-old brother and his 17-year-old girlfriend using Google search phrases such as 'the easiest way to kill an old person'.

Computers seized from the family home revealed Google searches including ?if you hit someone across the back of the head with a brick will they die or just get a bruise?? and ?easiest way to kill an old person?.

They hatched plans and carried out a savage attack on the 89-year-old dementia sufferer using bricks in plastic bags. The girl?s 14-year-old sister also helped attack the man.

The girl?s mother, who was privately educated, was jailed last month for 17 years for conspiracy to murder. The victim had given his daughter ? who is adopted ? lavish gifts including a car in the months leading up to the attack, but she was not prepared to wait for her inheritance.

The elderly man, who lived with his 87-year-old wife, was left with 11 injuries to his head and body but managed to survive the beating. Jurors were shown pictures of the blackened eyes and bruising he suffered across his body.

The attack in November last year was the last in a number of attempts by the group to try to ?frighten to death? the pensioner, the court heard.

Previously they had thrown bricks through his window and cut the fuel line on his car in a bid to make it explode.

As the grandfather stepped out of his bungalow near Winchester he was set upon by his grandson and then hit by his granddaughters.

The five, from Eastleigh, Hampshire, who cannot be named due to reporting restrictions to protect the anonymity of the children, denied conspiracy to murder over the plot in October and November last year, and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The 17-year-old was jailed for three years and will serve 13 months, the 16-year-old was jailed for 26 months and will also serve 13 months.

The 14-year-old was given a two year youth rehabilitation order.

During the six week trial, jurors were shown appalling pictures of the blackened eyes plus cuts and bruising the elderly man suffered across his body.

He was subjected to his final attack on November 15 last year after being lured out of his bungalow in a village near Winchester, Hants.

He believed the 49-year-old woman, his adopted daughter, had collapsed in the garden.

But as he stepped outside he was set upon by his grandson and then hit by his granddaughters who were 'armed with bricks' in plastic bags.
Defending the 16-year-old Nigel Pascoe said: 'Neither of these girls would be here if it wasn't for their mother.

'She would not have looked up a single entry on the internet but for the family plot.'

Defending the 14 year old girl, Maria Lamb said: 'She came from a home where she was neglected by her mother.

'The family moved from crisis to crisis and her only support was an older sister who had been damaged by the same environment.'

Mitigating for the 17-year-old girl, Jonathan Fuller QC, said: 'Her upbringing was inadequate, there were no boundaries and her introduction to drugs and alcohol came at an early age.

'This is a girl who, taken out of that environment, is a caring individual.'

Sentencing them, Judge David Foskett said: 'It was my impression that none of you would have become involved were it not for the involvement of your mother and brother.

'You each went along with what your mother wanted either to please her or because you were scared.

'There is evidence that each of you had some knowledge of looking at websites of a sinister nature.

'Looking at the matter from the outside it's almost impossible to understand how you became involved.

'Two of you were prepared to contemplate the death of another, and the sentence reflects that.'

After the case, the grandfather's son spoke of his bewilderment at discovering his sister and her family had carried out the attack.

The man, who can only be identified as Roger, said he and sister had enjoyed a privileged upbringing including private education and that she had been planning to kill their mother too.

Roger said: 'The police told me they had reason to believe my own sister and her family had been planning to kill Mum and Dad.

'They told me they believed they were planning to do away with Dad first and then my mum as well. Thankfully they never got that far.

'It's the type of story you see on Midsomer Murders or Crimewatch.' The five defendants all denied charges of conspiracy to murder and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Afterwards, detective sergeant Bryan Carter said: 'This was a particularly cruel crime involving a vulnerable elderly man who was seriously assaulted by members of his own family.

'The family members were motivated by money and carried out a pre-planned assault on this man following weeks of premeditated acts.

'I hope he can now get on with his life and put these horrific incidents behind him.'
