Panda In A Rocking Chair (VIDEO)

Quote:
When it comes to animals mimicking human behavior, monkeys and apes usually have the upper hand, using our stuff to master everything from cooking to skateboarding. But it looks like other species are closing in on the competition. Case in point: Ying Hua, a panda from the Beijing Zoo who's learned to put a twist on the old rocking chair routine.

Check out Ying Hua in action!

Re: Panda In A Rocking Chair (VIDEO)

I love when animals perform human-like behavior. I think animals in general are far more intelligent than we give them credit for.

Re: Panda In A Rocking Chair (VIDEO)

Another panda story:

Quote:
This baby panda must have got a bit bamboozled — losing his grip and nearly falling out of a tree.
But little Tai Shan was lucky — his mum caught him in the nick of time.

The bear slipped after misplacing a paw and desperately tried to cling on.

Watchful mum Mei Xiang spotted him in time and grabbed his shoulder before hauling him back up.

The near-accident happened after Mei Xiang had climbed the tree to have a rest in Washington DC zoo, US.

Photographer Judy Young said: "As a first time mum, Mei was very protective and nurturing and the two were always in close proximity to each other.

"Tai followed her around incessantly and demanded her full attention.

"She was usually accommodating, but at times, became absolutely exasperated and needed time to herself for a mummy break.

"As you can see, Tai followed her right up the tree but ended up having a bit of a mishap."

Tai Shan has since been moved to the Bifengxia Panda Base in Ya'an, Sichuan, China.
