Prior to the introduction of pacu into that area, there was a dense mat of floating vegetation on the lake. The pacu consumed all of it, which negatively impacted locale crocodile populations which relied upon that floating mat to mate. It also represents a severe depletion of the built-in food supply for the pacu. It is this combination of events that led Jeremy to postulate *that* was the reason the pacu were attacking living animals for food, everything from humans to crocodiles. It is their large size, lack of predators and scarcity of their natural diet that is believed to be causing the pacu in that area to behave carnivorously.

Thank you for that addition/information, Pumpkin!

They usually don't have long life spans like the little turtles, unless you're a professional and know your fish care.

We had some trained rats for awhile. They're cute! I didn't know rabbits licked you either, but, I know they run FAST!

Chinchillas are expensive as coats so I guess they should be stuck up, lol! Actually, they should fear for their lives!

yea rabbits make better pets than chinchillas.. but its easier to pick up and cuddle a chinchilla than a rabbit.. (but they wont like it.) only easy because theyre smaller and surprisingly have no nails to dig into you.

im babysitting a rabbit for 2 weeks.. i let it out in my attic to clean his cage.. i left the room for a minute and came back, he starts dashing like crazy. fastest i've ever seen him run. had to trap him with a tshirt.
