This women, who may have been a cunt, did not have to give a drink or drug test but she did both and passed both. The law cleared her but the parents are sueing so she has no choice but to counter sue. there is no black and white (with the info we have thus far) only shades of grey. A article I saw quotes allegations from the family that she was drunk. As harsh as it is she has to defend herself, given that the was sober and has proof. At the moment it seems to me the family are trying to profit and she is just defending herself and what she claimes is true.

How many of you wouldnt be hit hard emotionally after killing a kid?

but on the other hand I hate the police and the law and her pig husband didnt get out of his car to help. how many times has she or her pig husband laughed as innocent people got nailed to a cross?
I almost had a heart attack when a child hit my car with his scooter, but, I jumped out of the car!

The mother saw what happened. He came out from between parked cars. I did stop, but, he hit my car. My heart pounded so hard!

The original article sounded like she and her husband took off, and I saw no follow up stating she took the breathalyzer test.

I was a backseat passenger in a car that got hit by a kid on a bike. We were driving through a strip mall parking lot and he rode off of a sidewalk along the mall. He didn't look around the corner and we had no way of seeing him. He bounced off the hood. He was ok but we called an ambulance anyway, even though he just wanted to ride off.

The report also confirmed that Ms. Simon, who acknowledged driving at about 90 k.p.h., above the 80 k.p.h. limit, wasn’t required to take a breathalyzer test because there were “no grounds to request” one. A roadside screening device was administered “out of an abundance for caution,” the report said, and registered “zero alcohol content in her blood system.”

Thank you for that link, icheerthebull.

I stand corrected on a couple of my misunderstandings about this case.

I still think it is very cruel of her to sue the family.

What a terrible person. Sharlene Simon is a real bitch.

I can't help but blame the parents a bit for letting their teenager be out past 1:30am with just reflectors on the god dammed bike, but que sera- they have to live with those regrets forever, poor people. :(

But then who will pay for damages done to the SUV? Those kids are an exsmple of darwinism at it's finest. She shouldn't be stuck with that on her driving record
