A naked and blood-soaked man was arrested on Sunday after police found the body of an elderly woman in her home.
Moses Trotter, 32, from Sacramento, was arrested after police surrounded the victim's home and ordered him to come out.
Police were first called to the area after another resident reported a naked man had broken in.
When he chased him out of the house, Trotter then allegedly entered another on Olympic Way and when police arrived, he ran out bloody and naked.
After a brief struggle he was detained and arrested.
The victim, who is in her eighties and has not yet been named, had obvious signs of trauma to her body.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputy Jason Ramos told CBS that Trotter was exhibiting some very strange behavior and they expect he was on some kind of drugs.
Toxicology results are pending.
He is being held without bail in the Sacramento County Main Jail on a felony murder charge.
According to Trotter's Facebook page, he has worked at 99 Cents Stores and most recently Ghetto Productions.
It appeared as if he was embroiled in some kind of dispute with a former girlfriend who wrote on his page: 'Mose stop callin [sic] or texting me!!! Im so over you and your bulls***!!!
'You need god cuz ur [sic] crazy.. leave me alone leave my family alone... keep my mans name out ur [sic] mouth!!! My kids dont need you so see you in court again...'
He posted a series of bizarre comments throughout yesterday, saying: 'It's funny cuz we all going to die. LOL', 'When I die bury me in Fresno', 'I need health care' and 'repent'.
He also posted a photograph of a $5 bill, a bullet, two watches and a bible with the words, 'I'm stuck in time.'
