Manchester Mystery Torso

Yesterday at work a couple of main roads were closed off after a torso and legs were found in the middle of a busy traffic area. Not entirely sure still what happened, but it sounds like a woman has been hit by a truck (and subsquently several other vehicles) and decapitated/chewed up. Today the police released CCTV of someone running away from the scene with her bag and shoes? Very weird. No-one seems to have seen anything.

Re: Manchester Mystery Torso

it seems like in most every other country (U.S. exclud), looky-loos taking pictures of the deceased or even the almost deceased accident victim/s is run of the mill.

i'm sorry but the first part of that second link had me laughing...

"Twitter users were condemned as ‘sick ghouls’ last night after they posted pictures of a woman decapitated when she was hit by a 40-ton lorry on a busy road.
Passersby stopped in rush-hour traffic to take grisly pictures of the victim’s body on their phones."

Last night, residents living close to the scene of the tragedy condemned those who took pictures.
Jack Rogers, 26, of Longsight, Manchester, said: ‘It’s unbelievable that people would take pictures of something like that happening.

‘Everyone is talking about it. It’s just sick and so unfeeling of people to do things like that – especially when a woman is lying dead.’
One witness said: ‘It was absolutely revolting. Like nothing I have ever seen. There were some builders nearby who were filming it on their phones.’

Another said: ‘They were loitering round like ghouls holding their phones up and recording it. They should be ashamed of themselves. They must be sick in the head.’

i wonder if this is what those awful ghouls looked like?

Re: Manchester Mystery Torso

Haha, that's the Daily Mail for you! They're a bit of a running joke over here. Couldn't find any pictures worth posting, apparently there were a few on Twitter but they'd been taken down when I got in from work.
