Letter From John Gacy to Amnesty International Found

John Wayne Gacy Letter: Serial Killer's Note To Amnesty International Co-Founder Discovered. A typewritten letter sent to Amnesty International co-founder, Luis Kutner, by serial killer, John Wayne Gacy, has allegedly been discovered in a basement.

Reddit user, "Shipyaad", wrote that he found the letter in his home, a house he claims once belonged to the son of the famous Chicago lawyer.

"I moved into a new place and found it wedged in between a couple of boards in a wall downstairs. It's like someone was trying to hide it or something," the user wrote.

In the letter, Gacy asks Kutner for his services. Kutner, a renowned human rights activist and lawyer who co-founded Amnesty International with Peter Benenson in 1961, never took Gacy on as a client. But the serial killer and rapist, who buried 29 of his victims at his own home, alludes to their mutual fame in the letter.

"Since your [sic] as famous as I am infamous..." Gacy writes, "I was wonder [sic] if you would handle a mass murderer who is not one... to look at the facts instead of the mass publicity, fantasy and state theories."

Gacy killed at least 33 young men and boys between 1972 and 1978, and was sentenced to death. He was given the nickname, "The Killer Clown", as he sometimes adopted the persona of, "Pogo the Clown", for charity fundraising events.

Gacy was executed by lethal injection in 1994. His notorious last words were, "Kiss my ass," according to CBS News.

Writer Jason Moss corresponded with Gacy and other serial killers on death row as research for his book, "The Last Victim."

Gacy was also a prolific artist, often painting depictions of cartoon characters and clowns. In 2010, a Gacy painting of the seven dwarves playing baseball against the Chicago Cubs sold for $9,500.
Some commenters on Reddit speculated on the letter's value, with one user appraising it at $4,000. Others encouraged user "Shipyaad" to sell it on eBay, or donate the, "exciting piece of history", to the National Museum of Crime and Punishment.

Would be better if it was hand written. There was certainly no lack of evidence in this case. I don't know why he even mentions evidence in the letter. The bodies were in his basement, in his property.

Those bodies were circumstantial, lol! He just happened to live there.

Joel Rifkin types his letters, too. He told me he had bad handwriting, as do I.
Too bad Jeff Dahmer's things didn't get auctioned off to the general public.

Re: Letter From John Gacy to Amnesty International Found

I worked for the other side when I worked for lawyers.

Our guys were plaintiffs' personal injury attorneys.

It's all a matter of who the better actor is. Some of we secretaries went to occasional trials.

I told our guy he had the jury in the palm of his hand at one trial. The defendant's attorney was boring and putting us to sleep.

His own testimony proved the railroad involved was at fault. I was shaking my head to myself.

I'm not sure how Jose Baez won his case for that baby killer! I didn't watch the trial, but, he seemed like such an idiot outside the court and the incubator was such a liar!

I can't believe guys couldn't see through that act! And Pisces people play everybody! I didn't look her up, but, she has to be a Pisces! "Poor little me!", is their favorite game.

Partying, wanting no responsiblity for anything, lying, cheating, and the men, too, except for Dee Snider. He's not typical at all. He's the exception.

I had an arbitration for myself. Some guy hit me and lied. He swore he was nowhere near me.

I swore he came out of nowhere and suddenly was behind me tailgating me. I thought it was my brother messing with me until he hit me and took off.

I pulled over, he took off and I wrote his license plate number down and called the police. He stuck his tongue out at me on his way around me.

During his testimony, he said, "Well, I remember I was in a hurry that day. I had a tv in my truck and was rushing to get to my brother's, and I was on that street at the same time. I pulled out of a side street."

I smiled to myself because I knew he proved himself wrong with that one sentence after he swore he had never seen me before.

I'm always checking my mirrors and know who is around me at all times.

Interesting discovery and yes, handwritten would have been worth a fortune

I remember reading some years ago that a couple of people bought Dahmer's possessions and had them burned so no one else could buy them as memorabilia. I can't remember where I read it so I can't guarantee if I'm remembering right.

Jeffrey's Dahmers parents would not allow that!

Jeff's mother was a wacko! The father was a workaholic! They couldn't even agree what to do with his brain. I think it should have been studied, personally.

I think it was the State of Wisconsin who would not allow it.

I wanted to see all of the victims' pictures!
