Re: Kraft Sends Woman Apology & $1 for Worm in Macaroni
If the family went to court and present the case as it's stated here "poured the box into the water and THEN noticed a worm floating..." they'd be denied any kind of compensation. By their own admission they did not state that the daughter saw the worm come from within the box. It could have been in the pot already. Whatever. Boring story. They are lucky to have received a dollar back from the company. |

considering worms, maggots, and other such creepy crawly things are regularly dried, spiced, fried, ect around the world as snacks or even whole meals... I doubt anything other than the sight or texture would have made the girl sick. It's all concept. |

Re: Kraft Sends Woman Apology & $1 for Worm in Macaroni
yes! plus arent worms full of protein? wtf.. lol.. i've found bunches of worms in my boxes of macaroni (or i think it was spaghetti noodles).. this was back when we used to store our food in barrels for months on end and forget about them sometimes. but it would mostly still be good. i would throw it away.. but some people just bake the noodles (its dead maggots.. hard crispy anyway..) . some people i know who have fallen victim (victom? oh shit i think i forgot how to spell that word.. feels weird typing it. /offtopic) to dead maggots in their noodles have just washed it as they would normally before they cook it and then bake it. this lady is a drama queen and wants a quick buck( she got it.. just a buck).. i wonder where she is from.. |

Either way, if it was thrown into boiling water: It'd get disinfected pretty quickly, even if they hadn't noticed until it was in their mouth they wouldn't have gotten sick. |
