Guess Who's Coming To Dinner! Woman Finds Hungry PUMA In Her Kitchen [Photos]

Here kitty, kitty, here gato, gato.

Pumas make bad dinner guests - as this one apparently has trashed the entire kitchen.
  • It happened at a home in Santiago, Chile
  • Pumas are common in many parts of Chile and the rest of the Western Hemisphere
  • Pumas are the second-largest cat found in the Western Hemisphere

Quote:
A woman in South America recently captured on camera some stunning images of a wild puma.

Only problem was the photos of the deadly cat were taken in her kitchen - which the animal apparently had ripped to shreds.
The remarkable photos were taken in Santiago, Chile, and given to the country's Agriculture and Livestock Service by the woman who snapped the images.

It's unclear how the animal got into the house - although there is some broken glass in the window panes, which suggests that it didn't exactly knock on the front door.
Pumas are fairly common in many parts of Chile - kitchens excluded - and are amongst the largest cats in the Western Hemisphere, second in size only to the jaguar, which is far less common.
Pumas are a type of cougar, and are the fourth largest cats in the world. Adult males can grow to be more than seven feet long and weigh up to 220 pounds.

Pumas are considered a 'generalist predator,' which means they will usually eat any animal they get their hands on and kill - humans not excluded.

Instances of any species of cougar attacking a human are exceptionally rare, but as humans continue to populate the animals' natural habitat, they have occurred more frequently.
Between 1890 and 1990, there were only 53 confirmed attacks resulting in only 10 deaths. By 2004, the number of attacks rose to 88 with 20 deaths, which is the result of humans moving further into cats' natural habitat.
It's unclear what happened to the puma photographed in the kitchen - let's just hope the lunch menu didn't consist of humans.

It's most likely a lack of reflections but the last two look like they were taken inside the fucking kitchen.

Yup! Good eye. The last two pics were taken by someone of Servicio Agrícola Ganadero [ Agriculture and Livestock Service] (SAG) after the Puma was shot with a tranquillizer gun.
The animal is in good condition and is under observation, it suffered a couple of injuries, so the team had to suture them:

All the Pumas who are already accustomed to humans are virtually dead, their chances of any possible reintegration into the wild are extremely close to zero. Thanks to the humans who invaded their territory with their houses, their roads, their cars and all the rest.

It's like a cat, just a little more than a tenth its weight. This one looks to be about 40 kilos (something more i guess).
