Re: Food Stamp Ridicule Humiliates Woman At The Supermarket

Just because some people might abuse the system is no excuse to take out your uninformed, paranoid frustrations on people who could very well be doing everything they can just to survive.

In my experience, Kroger workers are indeed rude idiots... maybe it's all the complaints they have to deal with because of their insanely high prices or something.. sending the manager to a different store... what's that? The Catholic church method of dealing with an offender? And the $15 gift card is an insult, not that the lady was especially entitled to anything, but they've been giving $25 free for transferring a prescription here lately.. they could at least offer a substantial card.. $50 or $100.

It's so easy to look down on others without thinking. We all do it and some of us are in a habit of doing it.

Just look at Brittney Spears and her Hooker Friends, Lindsay and Paris .... Oops I did it again

Well i wasn't having a go at the OP, was wondering why a news station would even report on such a stupid story.
Probably end up suing them, since that's the thing to do in the land of the lawsuit.

Much like benefits here in the UK along with disability benefits.

The system is abused so much that it costs more and more every year and then those who work hard see some slackers get a free ride they go " " and start to resent everyone on benefits.
*Scoffs* Corporate welfare is the real problem. At least the money given to regular folk is spent with regular folk in the economy. 99% never saw a dime of the bail out money strong armed by the 1% on wall street.

Benefits worth billions of pounds - ranging from pension credit to jobseeker's allowance - go unclaimed each year, figures show.

......And pay for bailed-out bankers shot up to just under £4 million last year, compared with £1.7m in 2000 - an increase of 130 per cent.
