Anonymous Demands Justice: Two girls raped, left to die, charges dropped on rapist related to Republican figure

Two months after a 14 year old girl and her 13 year-old friend were abused/raped by several boys, after plying them with alcohol, then dumping one of the unconscious victim’s outside in freezing weather to die, the Nodaway County prosecutor dropped the felony cases against the youths, one of which is the grandson of a longtime area Republican political figure.

Matthew Barnett played defensive end for Maryville High School’s vaunted football team, the Spoofhounds, and came from a prominent Maryville family — his grandfather had been a longtime member of the Missouri House of Representatives.

The Kansas City Star has a jaw dropping article which was published yesterday, detailing the timeline of events. In the end, instead of standing up for the victims, the town turned on them.

If this story thus far reminds you of anything, it should: The Steubenville rapists.

Daisy, one of the young girls, alleged that after she arrived to Barnett’s home, he handed her a large glass filled with alcohol. The other boys — popular school athletes — urged her drink it and then a second glass too.

That was the last thing she could remember.

Daisy was discovered by one of her parents, sprawled on the front porch and barely conscious; after being left in 22 degree weather for hours, even her hair was frozen.

Ms. Coleman went to her daughter’s bedroom, and found the 13-year-old asleep. She, too, seemed confused.

She detected redness around her daughter’s genitalia and buttocks. It hurt, the girl said, when Coleman asked about it. Then she began crying.

“Immediately,” Coleman said, “I knew what had happened.”

Barnett told police that although the girl said “no” multiple times, he undressed her, put a condom on and had sex with her.

That’s rape and they taped it.

And now the family’s home has been burnt to the ground.

The mother was fired because of the backlash from the town.

The felony charges are dropped.

"Greetings, World.

We are #OpMaryville.

Two young girls have been raped in the town of Maryville, Missouri. Another high school football star, the grandson of a Missouri state
official, has walked free. The people of Maryville turned their backs on these victims and one family has been forced to flee the town. After they left, their house was burned to the ground.

On January 8th, a 14-year-old girl named Daisy and her 13-year-old friend were both raped in Maryville. Evidence of this assault was captured on film. Daisy’s unconscious body was later dumped into her family’s yard, left alone for hours in freezing weather. One of Daisy’s attackers was initially in police custody, where he admitted to having sex with her while she was under the influence.

He claimed it was consensual. The hospital states the young girl’s blood alcohol level was almost twice the legal limit and they discovered three tears inside of her body, 2-4 inches in length.

This suspect rapist is Matthew Barnett, a student at the University of Central Missouri. He’s the grandson of Missouri state Representative, Rex Barnett.

We demand an immediate investigation into the handling by local authorities of Daisy’s case. Why were the suspects initially arrested and then released? How was video and medical evidence not enough to put one of these football players inside a court room? What is the connection of these prosecutors, if any, to Rep. Rex Barnett? Most of all, We are wondering, how do the residents of Maryville sleep at night?

We have heard Daisy’s story far too often. We heard it from Steubenville, Halifax and Uttar Pradesh. In some cases, action meant nothing because it couldn’t bring them back. Both Amanda Todd and Rehtaeh Parsons, girls not much older than Daisy, took their own lives after the adults, the police and the school system, failed to protect them. If Maryville won’t defend these young girls, if the police are to cowardly or corrupt to do their jobs, if justice system has abandoned them, then someone else will have to stand for them. Mayor Jim Fall, your hands are dirty. Maryville, expect us.

“Anonymous is also currently collecting social media data from friends of Matthew Barnett, who is now a student at the University of Central Missouri.”

His tweets are protected, but feel free to say hello.

In the words of a wise woman (hey, that’s me), ‘If his name starts with A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H.I,J,K,L,M,N,O,P,Q,R…. He wants the R for rapist.’

The Mom even had them over to the house as guests before to watch a game and fed them... how fucking sociopathic and predatory is THAT?!

I'm usually the 'what about the guy's side' on a lotta these kinda stories, but this one is pretty cut-and-dried.
I'll break down my first post into point form to make it easier to understand.
* Rape is rape, the rapists should be punished to the full extent of the law.
* The girls shouldn't have been there unsupervised, let alone drinking.
* Small hick towns in the US place young aspiring atheletes on a pedestal. Any event that disrupts this will piss off the locals.

Now as for being sick of victim blaming, once again in point form.
* If the girls didn't go to the party they couldn't have been raped.
* If the girls had refused to drink the alcohol then maybe they wouldn't have been raped.
* If the girls felt uncomfortable they should have left straight away.

If the girls were home in bed and the rapist came through the window and raped them, that would be different but it's not what happened. In this case the girls are victims of rape but not blameless. They put themselves in a bad position and have to live with the decisions they made.

Thanks for clarifying, sir.

I have read very little victim blaming in relation to this case, the majority are rightfully outraged. This is more a case of corruption i.e influential family members use thier positions of authority to get a family member off.

The people questioning the parents of the two girls need to remember what they were like at that age. Is it so hard to understand teenage girls going to a party and drinking just to 'impress' the 'cool' kids?? It's the parents who raised rapists who need to be questioned.

Where is the famous American gun culture when you need it!!!

Re: Family Gets Driven Out of Missouri Town After Daughter Gets Raped

The girls' parents are to blame.

Many, many 13 & 14 year old girls are guileful and manipulative beyond belief and just love to play with fire.

They like the 'bad boys' and their new found and emerging 'P*ssy Power'. (They think they can take over the world with that thing.)

But they still haven't grasped the concept of consequences.

That's where Dad and Mom 'should' come in.

Yeah, dad and mom of the rapists. Only one of the girls has a dad, the other one is dead. Kind of shocking that when faced with blatent state corruption and the inbred small town mentality of the should have been aborted cunts in that town people blame a 13 year old for being raped

Right?

I'm wondering if the two girls each told their parent(s) that they would be staying the night at the other's house and then sneaked out to the party. Kids sometimes put themselves in situations they shouldn't but that doesn't mean their punishment should be rape and ridicule.

Re: Family Gets Driven Out of Missouri Town After Daughter Gets Raped

Yep, they were staying at one of the girls house and they climed out a window. Yes that deserves a stern telling off, not rape
