Wow, american police really fucking hate dogs apparently. Seems like a dog gets shot by a cop every day.

Wtf? Well, I'm glad the dog survived at least. But what does it say about the officers marksmanship that he can't even take down a tiny dog?

That is kind of ignorant though. I know plenty of American police that love dogs. Just the other day a cop with a k-9 was talking about how great his dog is and some other cute stuff...

Don't blame the dog.

Shoot the owner.

It cuts right through the denial.

I've adopted out several dogs to cops and k-9 handlers, but I have to partly agree with what you've said. They are too quick to pull their gun and shoot.

That happens when you give someone a gun. Even a cop will look less toward other ways to resolve the problem when he can just kill it. People seem to think that once a dog bites it'll never let go but in my experience, a finger to the eye will sort it every time.

But no, I didn't mean every cop in america hates dogs. They just shoot a lot more dogs than my country.

... or a "shell casing in the leg". You guys need to stop watching the news. There are so many other good thing you could be doing instead.

asking him why he had contacted the media and then gave him the ticket.
do a better job instead and we don't have to contact the media.

Quote:

According to the suit, filed in Cook County Circuit Court Tuesday morning, Al Phillips was at his home on the 800 block of West Buena Ave. when a neighbor told him that he was getting a parking ticket.

Phillips walked out of his back yard and Colonel, who was with him, followed, "with his tail wagging" and was "conducting itself in a peaceable fashion," the suit says.

That's when the cop, identified in court papers as Officer Brandon Pettigrew, allegedly pulled his gun and fired twice.

"Colonel ran a few blocks where he was found cowering and shaking in bushes and was helped out by neighbors and taken for emergency veterinary care," the complaint says.

After the shooting, Pettigrew "then casually and callously [returned] to his task of writing a parking ticket," which the documents called "extreme and outrageous conduct."
