Re: British Band Plunge to Death

They've managed to get one of their songs into the top 40 (so far, might go further yet) which is a nice tribute. Depending on where the money goes...

I'm betting either drunk or tired was the cause.

It isn't my cup of tea but they were obviously talented.

Re: British Band Plunge to Death

Quote:
An oil tanker sailed over the wreckage of indie band Viola Beach’s rental car after it plunged into a canal from a bridge in Sweden that had opened to allow the ship to pass beneath, reports in Sweden have said.

According to Swedish public broadcaster SVT, the captain of the 7,500-ton M/T Tellus saw the car in the water but mistook it for a large mass of snow. The vessel passed unaware over the scene of the accident and the wreckage in the water, the report said. It is not known if the vessel hit the car.
Not that they would have had a chance falling that far into water that temperature

too right....sweden in mid february the water would be just a couple of degrees above freezing at most...

so it was a 25 metre drop into freezing water and then being crushed and rolled along the bottom of the canal by a 7500 ton ship.....those guys are properly dead!!

Re: British Band Plunge to Death

The warning lights to show the bridge was up were not working at the time of the accident.
