Re: American Restaurant(Chik-fil-a) in the Hot Seat with Gay Rights Groups

It's a sorry state of affairs for this country when political discourse hinges around whether or not someone supports a fucking fast-food chicken place. Support gay marriage or not, Chick-fil-A has gotten a ton of free publicity because of this. I'm reading an article right now about how anti-gay marriage folks are gathering at chick-fil-a's to show solidarity. Are people in the midwest really this bored?

I think the real reason of the outrage is that CFA spends over 5 million dollars going toward faith-based causes, like Focus on the Family, which then in turns uses its power(and money) to prevent gay people from having the same basic rights (like getting medical insurance or inheriting property) from their partners--rights that straight people automatically get when married. Most people don't care what the company president's opinions are, but when it comes to spending money on promoting hate and preventing others from having rights, then we've got issues.

I don't see how this is promoting hate. And it has nothing to do with the restaurant.

Wonder why gays feel it a good cause to attack and boycott a fast food restaurant. The founder just believes in traditional family. This protest will do nothing, but just curious if shutting the store down is something they wish they could do. In my town the local college has one in campus and theres a group getting signatures to have it removed from campus... What worthless pieces of shit. Costing people jobs, for what?? A opinion.. A opinion shared by millions of Americans.
