Unless you have rockets up your ass and mount under a jet fighter, the congress just have other priorities. After all, war is more profitable than socialized medicine.

I myself need to have my wisdom tooth pulled and it's infected. I have no health insurance and the hospital won't do shit... Until i get insurance I'm basically fucked.

Same. And I'm 24 and I have the same symptoms this guy did. After reading this story I feel like I'm just gonna fall over dead lol.

Re: 24-Year-Old Dad Dies Of Tooth Infection, Couldn't Afford Meds

war/socialized medicine both = fail... It's not the insurance issue that's the problem it the affordability of the procedures... in no way should it cost $1,200 and up for root canals... thats a scam. It takes less time, pain and effort to do one than an extraction.

The results are more desirable, so with supply and demand, they charge more... to pull the tooth its what 200.00 to 350.00 US thats not to bad I guess, but hey I'm frugal. Unfortunately this trend also exist in the medical field so insurance would be affordable to all working folks, company owners, charitable organizations if all the scammers suing bastards (malpractice insurance) and non residents coming in the ERs for treatments or the 10 kids per year they have things might be different. Socialized medicine will cost more be more regulated and over the years FAIL. No top dog MD. graduate will answer the call if they can't make more than the local police man or other local gov. job. There are other things I would continue on subject, but would be not as detail and nothing google could not provide (this is my side of thinking) more of a rant, sorry if it did sound a bit like a craiglist post. have a good day.

Moving on... mOOOving on.

a lot of people are facing similar situations. This country needs a huge health care overhaul in general that will work. medicines should be affordable for everyone. simple as that
