The average Wrigleyville bar fight is often sparked by an age-old dispute: Cubs versus White Sox but the brawl that broke out at a neighborhood Bacci Pizzeria around March 24 was likely over a spilled drink, according to the store owner.
Footage depicts 3 men dueling it out with the store’s metal chairs in the early morning.
Amid shouts from pizzeria patrons, the video shows, one man pulls another to the ground by his face, while a third begins beating the first with a chair.
The first man retaliates, scooping up a second metal chair with one hand and hitting his attacker.
None of the store’s furniture was damaged, according to the store owner, and some people involved left before police officers arrived.
According to the police report, two women in their twenties received medical treatment from an ambulance at the pizzeria after the fight.
The women told police officers that two unknown women started the fight by pushing and punching them, at which point two men jumped in and also began punching them.
At that point, the police report says, a third man, who is listed as a victim, joined the fight and was also battered.
