Observation: The thief knew the owner or the guy who closed the door first. That's why, they were talking at first and also he got too close to him and didn't kick him back when he went to grab the gun. All in all, I'd say it was the dude's friend who needed some money for alcohol or drugs. |

Too much beating. Kinda forces the robber to bring a gun next time, and then those angry storeowners would all get killed. All he wants is some money.
