911 Call About Missing McDonald's Orange Juice

These are the actual 911 calls regarding a dispute over orange juice at a McDonald's restaurant in Aloha, Oregon on May 25, 2009.

The first call was made at 11:41 p.m. by Raibin Raof Osman, who alleges that McDonald's omitted orange juice (and possibly other items) from his drive-through order and laughed at his brother in law.

The second call was made by McDonald's employee Helen Velasquez, who denies withholding any juice and alleges that Osman and his family harassed her for more than thirty minutes.

Osman was charged with improper use of 911 (a misdemeanor) and spent the night in the Washington County Jail.

UPDATE: On October 22, 2009, Osman plead guilty to improper use of 911. He was ordered to pay a $300 fine.

Re: Missing McDonald's Orange Juice

What a moron

Raibin Raof Osman, 20, called 9-1-1 just before Memorial Day weekend to complain that a McDonald's in Aloha had left out a box of orange juice from his drive-through order.

A restaurant employee later called 9-1-1 to report that Osman and others who were with him were blocking the drive-through lane, knocking on restaurant windows and intimidating employees.

Washington County Sheriff's deputies said Osman was unwilling to listen to them explain that 9-1-1 wasn't in the business of straightening out fast food orders.

Osman, deputies said, tried to argue he had the legal right to call the police. He was taken to jail.
