Domestic Cats aren't wild.
People who spay or neuter their Cats after a year or so are responsible.
I see it every day,we even had an abandoned Cat give birth to a litter of Kittens in our shed at the bottom of the garden, one of them died, luckily i called the Cat protection and they collected the survivors.

not anymore they arent. i personally cant stand having pets.. it breaks my heart.

i agree with spaying and neutering, those are all parts of having pets, but i see it as being just as 'wrong' as declawing (imo). there are tons of things pet owners do i dont like... cutting puppy tails and ears for example... but to me, it's just as bad as owning a pet. i know that's just me though.

Re: Declawing Your Cat.

birds in a cage, snakes in a glass cabinet or whatever, cats well, cats are pretty free. I dont like to see dogs kept in the house all the time if theyre big and they need exercise. if theyre little i spose its more acceptable.

I've got plenty opinions.

If i had a house with an acre or a few of my OWN land,i'd leave them to breed as i see they should.
But we don't live in a perfect world where people should see them as life forms in their own right and not possessions.

Re: Declawing Your Cat.

Flaka - I didnt read through the last 6 pages so sorry if some of this is a repeat...

Declawing a cat is equivalent to cutting your entire fingertips off and medically not necessary.

Kittens are lil crackheads when they are young. Lots of toys and scratch pads help. Reward them for using the scratch pad - even put catnip on it - put them near the things they typically tear up. If there are things they claw a lot like the edge of the couch, use saran/plastic wrap or clear packing tape to cover them - they wont like the feeling. They also do not like foil so if they are attacking the curtains put foil down where they sit by the curtains. Consider getting a water gun/sprayer and squirt them when they are bad. Lastly they also sell nail caps and scented sprays that deter them from scratching.

Declawing cats is ILLEGAL in many European countries. In Israel you would be subject to a year in jail and fines for declawing your cat - it is animal cruelty.

Its frustrating to deal with a cat clawing stuff up but there are ways to curb it and also know this is only a phase for the young cat. Google info on declawing and google image search "declawing a cat" for more info.

aye, aww man... shit I spose the feelings in this thread, are the reasons we love cats and we need them.

They make us feel better, because we don't live in that perfect world yet, do we?

Well I'm gonna chop peoples fingers off until we fucking do.
