Good to see. I'm a cyclist first and driver second. Didn't realise what a hazard i could be until i learned to drive. Cycling made me a better driver and driving a better cyclist. I do think there should be testing for cyclists equal to that of drivers for everyones sake. The roads are a shared space, unfortunately bikes don't have the protection cars have.

I'm sure they do pay road taxes, registration and abide by road rules in their cars. Many people ride bikes for exercise and because they aren't lazy fatasses who like to drive every fuckin place they need to go.

Um... I do pay all these things. I drive too. Regarding the rules of the road... i'm sure you never go 5 or 10 above the limit.. oh right, but only when it's probably safe and you likely won't get busted. Much the way I treat a redlight/stop sign on my bike. How is that different? |

Screw that. When cyclist take up half the road and wobble all over the place holding all traffic up then all drivers have a right to moan. I think all cyclists should pay road tax. Maybe then you will get more respect on the road. Same goes for horses. I love pissing all the snooty rich pricks off near me by going normal speed past them |

Hmm. I see that you are in the UK.. so you must be referring to the road tax that was abandoned in 1937? If you're still paying that, then you have bigger things to worry about than cyclists. |
