You can hear the biker getting on it hard long before he actually comes into frame. He was moving pretty damn fast when he saw the SUV turn in front of him. He had time to see it coming as he laid his bike down on purpose thinking, I guess, that it would be better to actually hit the SUV with his body than to flip over it when the bike contacted it. A no-win situation either way.
