Agreed. Anytime the police enter a dwelling for a drug raid it is high risk. They didn't go in there to take chances and wait if the drug dealer had a firearm. Get rid of the suppliers and you get rid of the junkies.

I don't see the "murder". I can totally see how the officer thought it might have been a sword. He was ready to strike based on his pose. I think that by only firing 3 shots he showed restraint and intent on self defense...not murder...and as stated above...if you don't deal with drugs and other criminal activities this shit wont happen to you.

As fucked as this is, there are two things to consider:

1) We here watching this on DR have the advantage of knowing before hand that Blair had a golf club in his hands as compared to truly 'lethal' weapon before watching thee video (assuming we read the description before viewing). I don't know if many or any of us wouldn't have reacted the same.

2) Taser dart cords have length of about 30 feet (but this looked to be within that range), but I don't know if any cop wants to risk getting shot or stabbed by giving the suspect the benefit of the doubt.

But I still hate the use of no-knock warrants.

A really good example of why you shouldn't sell drugs or let drug dealers use your house. The cops will find out eventually and raid the place. Then there's a good chance you'll get shot. Move to California, get a "medical marijuana" card and stay home getting stoned legally if that's your thing. Safe, legal and the cops won't shoot you in the head raiding your house.

Get that title right, he didn't swing that club. The guys house gets raided late at night and he thinks it's theives so why wouldn't he grab a bat or golf club?
