Not all Muslims are like that. Don't paint everyone with the same brush. Muslims are about as misogynistic as Christians are. The rest has to do with a more holistic blend of influences, poverty, traditional culture, family dynamics, social status, etc.

I think I know the story behind this one. I remember seeing a picture of a girl around the same age who was beheaded. The picture was on another site, (although I've seen it on more than one with the same story) and it said she and some friends were beheaded by Islamic extremists because they were Christian and went to a Christian school.

Extremists are fucking animals.

Unfortunately this is human, a horrible thing to happen, but a human act none the less. I'm pretty sure the people in the video are showing, what some would consider "disrespect" to the body and the evidence out of shear clinical numbness that happens with people in these professions, ie: medical, military, and law enforcement. It's sad, but it does happen. I remember discussing my lunch ideas while pushing a recently dead body to the morgue. ... it's just one of those things. either you get numb to the horror, or it eats you up. I agree that people should be shown respect, at least in front of the public or their family; however, in my view after a person dies the body is just a dead carcass with no more significance than a steak or road kill. but that's me, and i understand that many people do not share this belief.

Also, there is no reason to single out the Islamic religion because of this. Crazy and horrible acts happen in every country and in every religion. It's not the god or deity that is messed up, it's the people cutting off other people's heads!!! I do realize that this was done by a "psycho" father who is going through a divorce. Like most of you I cannot understand what would ever posses a person to do this to a child, much less their own child. I am not horrified by the video though. maybe i'm just too clinical now adays. i don't know.
