I have the DVD of this documentary. It gives the backstory of many of the people who jumped in detail. It's very moving and for some of the people, you actually feel happy that they are finally at peace. I recommend it highly.

I think it varies, 170 feet or 200 feet. Maybe the people think it won't hurt as much because its a water landing, and they might just disappear without leaving a mess. Given the choice, I would like to die sitting on a thermonuclear warhead detonation, like Slim Pickens in Dr. Strangelove. Certain, instant death and no mess. |

The old guy in the red hat did a crucial fuckin belly flop. The lasy guy with long hair, looked like a fuckin professional cliff diver or some shit the way he made his departure. Some people actually live when the make that leap. Last year there was a group of middle schoolers on a field trip there, and one of the kids accidentally fell off and only suffered a couple bruises. |
