It's called Elephantiasis, which is caused by the infection of filariasis(a nematode). You can get it by being bit by the same mosquito that carries malaria (Aedes Polynesiensis). Inside the lymph system, the microfilaria grow into adult worms and eat some of the fat and liquid there, then they produce their own feces. This results in the thickening and change of colour in the skin.
