To Many IP Connections | Site Will Block You, Tech Support Help

Some of you have run into this already, but I want to let you know what's happening.

If your IP address makes over a certian number of connections you IP will become blocked from the site.

There are people here that have over 200 + connections to the server and that's not ok. This can happen from aggressive prefetching from your browser or the use of automated tools to mass download pictures and videos.

If you have edited your browser to allow mass amounts of connections to the site you may run into a block. Plugins for firefox such as fasterfox will do this, they even tell you not to use that feature as it can load up webservers.

At the end of the day most people have nothing to worry about, but there is no reason for ANYONE to be making over 50 connections to the site let alone 200+

If the site starts to mess up like the background is gone, buttons are missing, or your refused all together that means you triggered the block and your connections are being refused for a certain time period.

Most people who are doing it know what they are doing, if that made no sense to you then your pretty safe lol =-)
