Hard Drive Partition HELP

My mates laptop was broke and another friend fixed it for him, when he got it back thee hard drive had been partitioned into a C drive and D drive.

All the installations go to the C drive which has been partitioned to 49gig

And all his videos, music and downloads go to the D drive.

He didnt want this.... How can he get it back to normal so that he only has a full C drive and everything goes to ONE drive

Cheers

Re: Hard Drive Partition HELP

Its not really possible to un-partition a hard drive because its not a reversible task.

The only real solution is to reformat the HD and create a single drive.....

Re: Hard Drive Partition HELP

Yeah that was my idea basically, he could borrow my external harddrive, copy all his shit over to it and then i could just nuke his harddrive and start again from scratch but he was worried about losing certain files and stuff but i guess he will have to spend a night sorting it cheers club

You don't wanna nuke the fucker. A simple format would do the trick for most home users.

yup, just back it up! He should get a back up drive anyway, I keep all my files I feel are important on a separate drive
