Angry horrific

I joined this site and came to this post out of morbid curiosity. I knew nothing about this incident or its aftermath untill I saw the story on 20/20 last week. I consider myself as liberal as anyone and I believe in personal freedom of expression. All the same I was truly shocked at the horrific reality of these pictures. I don't believe in censorship of any kind, but I'm not sure right now why I decided to look at them. They certainly have affected me in a way I did not forsee. I do understand the familys position now and I don't think I really did untill I saw just how terribly gruesome these photos are. All that said I still believe that people should have the right to view them if they choose to. The whole situation is tragic, but there is a lesson to be learned from it, no doubt about that. That would truly be the best thing they could say.

Not only that, but it's trademarked and if they find an unauthorized use of it, they won't be too happy about it. They even sued Disney!

Why Resoect the family???

At first I wasn’t going to respond to your last message, but you say I am hiding behind a screen name that represents one of the largest known criminal organizations in the world. Like you’re not hiding and posting your thoughts. Anytime you want to meet me I will be more than willing to visit you. Just tell me where. In fact I will spend for the gas. By the way do you have any kids? You sound very bitter about this girl that died of a tragic death. I have two beautiful adults children (both married) and one terrific wife. I don’t really know about you, but after reading what you posted, "you wouldn't loose any sleep if she crashed into your truck", sounds to me that something in your life happen with a teenager and it is haunting you. You need to give this matter a rest and go on with your life. You see I too have had my ups and downs, serving in Viet Nam and being a firer fighter. You heard me, a firer fighter, which I help 24/7 on 9/11. You will be astonished and amazed how many police officers and firer fighters are part of my organization. You only hear the bad news, never the good we perform for this great country. Sorry for the SOB, I could have call you much worse. And do respect this family for what they have gone through.

As far as the parents getting nasty emails...I stronly disagree with that!
I would never have known about this if they hadn't gone on national TV to tell their story.
As for me being an SOB,...the great thing about freedom of speech, is that you are entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine. I could taste the blood in my mouth

I was watching the news this morning and saw the story about this chic and the car and her family. I heard the 3 G's ~ gory, gruesome, and graphic and starting searching the web. I had no success until I found this site and registered and emailed the "chris" guy. He sent the pics and man I was like .....sorry I had asked, after seeing the pics. When I saw the pictures that consists of the 3 G's, I could literally taste blood in my mouth. I had never really seen anything in real life that was that disturbing. It sucks for her family b/c no one that young deserves to die, but her parents should have know better. Come on...it's a Porsche, who in the hell's not gonna go fast in it. The chic made the choice and now she has suffered the ultimate consequence. bummer

You sound very young or immature. Does it matter what type of car she was driving. Yes, she paid the ultimate price, her life.

I'm glad you responded to my message....first off, I have 2 Boys, 1 is taking the necessary steps to get into the military and the other is a wonderfull caring young boy,not at all like his father(me).
Second...I am very proud that you served your country in Vietnam, and that you helped out in the tragic situation which was 9/11....which brings me back to the point...the victims of 9/11 did not "CHOOSE" their fate by acting,or doing something which is known to be detrimental to public safety and or their own safety.... Nikki "CHOSE" to drive 100 mph, and nearly took out an innocent person by her own actions.
As for myself, I got this way because of illness, not because of bitterness. I'm Bi-polar and have been for many years. There is nothing anyone can do to hurt me, short of killing me(which is my ultimate goal sometimes) That I havn't done to myself already.
I can be just as sympathetic as the next person, if the situation calls for it, and in my opinion, this situation doesn't call for it. That is my opinion and I'm entitled to it, just as you are entitled to your opinion.
Finally, if I was to give you my address, what are you gonna do? You can threaten me, beat me,kill me, torture me, whatever..... but it still won't change my position on this subject. So if that's the route you want to take...private message me and I'll give you my address, phone number, etc.

RESPECT

I am very sorry to hear of your illness. I have no intentions in any shape or form to harm you, but to repect your opinion and maybe help you. I to have had a very hard life, from the military to being a firer fighter, now retired. I respect all mankind and what each of us stands for. I see were you are coming from. However, you must in some way feel for this child. Sometimes we must analyze the situation no matter what Nikki did on that dreadful day when her life was taken short at eighteen (18) years old. You see I counsel many teenagers in my spare time and tried to teach them the fundamentals of life. Hopefully they will get the message and go straight in life. As they say, you can lead a horse to the water, but you can’t make them drink it. Life is too short and I just happen by mistake go to this forum when I first heard of this horrific accident on 20/20 and what her family is going through. Maybe it was meant to be just to talk to you. We will never know. My friend you take care and good luck to your two (2) boys. What service of branch is one of them trying to get into? I was in the Army, Special Forces, 82 airborne divisions, Fort Bragg, NC. God be with you and your family on this holiday season. A friend who cares for others.

Born to be wild and misforgiven.

Thanks for your reply, and wishes. It sounds like you have a heart of gold, it would be nice for myself to have that kind of understanding, however it will never happen.
My oldest son is only 14 but he's been in Army cadets(Canadian) for 2 years. The funny thing about that is that he's won numerous awards for best overall cadet, best shot, promotions, etc. He's now a corporal(chck spellng) and all he wants is combat infantry, and he'd give his nuts to be in Afganistan right now. He has already planned to join the reserves at age 16 and regular at 18. I think his unit is attached to the 15th Service Batallion from Edmonton Alberta. I've told him that I would rather see him join the US Marines at age 18, as your country's rules of engagment are much different from our military's. I don't want to see him chained to a fence in a peacekeeping role, like what happened to our Canadian troops in Bosnia, back in the '90's. I know as a US Marine he'd at least be able to defend himself and his unit.
Thanks again for the Christmas wishes, and I give the same to you and your family and friends.
Peace !!
