It's usualy ignorance on the part of the owners that allows dogs to go bad. Unfortunately the sort of people that own pitbulls are, in the majority, ignorant dickheads who want a "hard" dog but have no idea how to train/care for them. (I said the majority, but I know there are also good owners out there, so please don't take offense if you are one of the good ones).

I think the owners should be destroyed for allowing their dogs to go bad like this.

That is actually a Staffordshire bull terrier. Almost all dog attack fatalities are caused by an intact dog. Male dogs kill more people than bitches. A lot of dogs that kill are kept chained up all the time too. There's never been a report of anyone being killed by a pit bull terrier that was altered and kept as a house pet.

Somebody failed in their duty as a dog owner and it cost that poor kid his life.

Nah...I've only spent the last 9 years working with and training dogs of all breeds. Of course I don't know shit after thousands of hours of study and actual experience!

Pitbull's are beautiful dogs, but they are bred to attack/kill.
it's not always their fault, the owners take a large part in how they are bed/trained and disciplined.

Pitbulls are loving caring dogs, there are no bad dog breeds, only bad owners. Don't blame the dog.
