Re: Woman Covered in Cords
This is a home made suicide device. She looped one end of the wire around her wrist, and shoved the other end into the power strip.

Re: Woman Covered in Cords
i've heard of this kind of suicide before - wires around whatever parts of the body attached to a timer switch from the mains so it switches on while the person is asleep. Altho i'm not sure it would work in modern houses with the RCD safety cutout switches they have in them.

Re: Woman Covered in Cords
If I remember correctly, this was simply a teenager with a deathwish......no disabilities. And household 110 current is certainly enough to kill you, especially if it's a sustained charge. It only takes a few miliamps to interrupt the electrical activity of the heart. I guess that suicide is something we all might consider at various points in our lives, but those of us who have seen the aftermath (either personally or in pictures such as these) would not do this to our families and loved ones. Whenever I am feeling that depressed, I always consider that tomorrow is another day, and I don't know what changes tomorrow may bring. Suicide is never worth it, except in very rare cases (terminal illness). Imagine the horror her parents went through upon finding her. |
